The DNR has reopened the recreational activities on the Illinois river Morris pool. So starting June 5th, the opens will start agian. Thank you for your support and hope to see you out there.

The Happy Hookers Bass Club was kicking off its 2013 Club Tournaments. The season's opener tournament was at the Des Plains River. We launched from the Big Basin Marina in Channahon, IL. The day called for partly cloudy skies, with temps in the upper 60's to lower 70's. By 5:30 am the boats where rolling in and the co-anglers where getting antsy. At 6 am the boats where filling the marinas waters and the anglers where loading their gear. At 6:30 everyone was on the edge, waiting for the countdown to launch. And then it started, the boats took off speeding to their...

Got out to the Big Basin Marina at 5:30 am, was raining and a little chill'n. At first it looked like there was only going to be 6 boats but by 6:15, the wagon train of trucks and boats where coming in. By 6:45, 17 boats where in the water lassoed to the marina. Now it was time for the draw, to see who gets to go first. By 7 am everyone was trying to stay in place to start this tournament......
